We are looking for a data-driven Senior Quoting & Pricing Specialist who will serve as the primary architect behind our pricing strategy for FTL, LTL, and Intermodal shipments. As a Senior Quoting & Pricing Specialist, you will be the primary architect behind our pricing strategy for FTL, LTL, and Intermodal shipments. You will bridge the gap between Sales and Operations, utilizing real-time market data, historical trends, and advanced forecasting tools to provide competitive, profitable quotes. We are looking for a data-driven expert who understands that "the right price" changes by the hour in the US market.

Key Responsibilities:

Multi-Mode Pricing: Generate accurate spot and contract quotes for Full Truckload (Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed), Less-than-Truckload (LTL), and Intermodal movements across the US and Canada.
Market Analysis: Monitor DAT, Truckstop, and Sonar (FreightWaves) to stay ahead of capacity shifts, seasonal surges, and regional disruptions.
Predictive Forecasting: Analyze historical shipment data to predict future rate trends, helping the sales team secure long-term RFP wins.
Carrier Collaboration: Work closely with the carrier procurement team to validate “buy” rates and ensure quotes reflect current capacity reality.
Margin Management: Optimize the “spread” between carrier cost and customer price to meet company profitability targets without sacrificing service levels.
RFP Leadership: Lead the analytical heavy lifting for large-scale annual or seasonal RFPs.

What We Are Looking For:

Industry Tenure: Minimum of 5 years in a pricing or quoting role within a US-based Freight Brokerage or 3PL.
Modal Expertise: Proven mastery of the nuances between FTL (Van/Reefer), LTL (Class-based pricing/NMFC), and Intermodal (Drayage + Rail).
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, Data Visualization).
Hands-on experience with TMS platforms (e.g., McLeod, MercuryGate, Aljex).
Fluency with market tools (DAT iQ, Truckstop, Greenscreens, or similar).
Analytical Mindset: Ability to synthesize complex data sets into actionable pricing decisions quickly.
Communication: Strong ability to explain the "why" behind a price to Sales Representatives and Account Managers.
Experience with Greenscreens.ai or other predictive pricing AI. (Advantage bonus skill)
Understanding of NMFC classifications and LTL density-based pricing. (Advantage bonus skill)
Background in Carrier Sales, providing a 360-degree view of how capacity is bought and sold. (Advantage bonus skill)
